Merchant Taylors’ Hall Access Guide / Information

At Merchant Taylors’ there are two main entrances, the Eastern and Western entrances.

Ground Floor:The Eastern Entrance is an accessible entrance accessed directly from Threadneedle Street there is a ‘Sesame’ platform lift which rises to the reception area and gives direct level access to the Great Hall. There is a second platform lift which raises to the Cloisters level. This gives direct level access to the Cloisters, Court Room, Parlour, Court Room, Library and the Cloakroom.

Ramps are available for access into the Courtyard Garden.

First Floor: A larger enclosed platform lift takes you up to the first floor and level access to the Kings Gallery and Drawing room.

Accessible Facilities:

There are two accessible toilets at the Hall.

The Ground Floor: accessible toilet is located in the Eastern Entrance hallway directly opposite the Great Hall.

The Second Floor: accessible toilet is located adjacent to the platform lift adjacent to the entry/ exit door into the Kings Gallery.
